Obituary of Robert C. Drawbaugh

Robert Clarence Drawbaugh, 88, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at Unity Hospital. Funeral services will be Monday, November 14, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Rev. Mike Spangler of the Presbyterian Church will officiate. Casket Bearers will be Dean Drawbaugh, Gregory Drawbaugh, Terry Drawbaugh, Richard Drawbaugh, Brad Kardux and Christopher Drawbaugh. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held in the Community Room at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral & Cremation Services. Visitation for Robert will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services where a memorial has been established in Robert�s name. Masonic Services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on November 13, 2005 with Moose services to follow at the funeral home. Sympathy notes may be left for the Drawbaugh family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Robert Clarence Drawbaugh was born on February 15, 1917 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Walter & Mary Bishop Drawbaugh. On November 27, 1936 Robert was united in marriage to Annabel Lee Cox in Muscatine, Iowa. He later married Loretta Reichert Brown on November 2, 1963 at the Musserville Methodist Church in Muscatine, Iowa. Robert was a member of the Iowa Masonic Lodge #2 AF&AM, the Moose Lodge and retired from International Harvester in September, 1978. He and Loretta enjoyed traveling cross country throughout the United States. Robert will be deeply missed by his wife, Loretta Brown Drawbaugh; one son William Drawbaugh of Tucson, Az; two daughters Beverly Rogers and Roberta Botens both of Vail, Az; two step sons Leslie Brown of Brooklyn Park, Mn and Donald Brown and his wife Pam of Muscatine; two step daughters Janet Kardux and her husband Leon of Muscatine and Barbara Harris and her husband Ted of Cincinnati, Oh; Grandchildren Greg Drawbaugh and his wife Kay of Vadnais Heights, Mn, Dean Drawbaugh of Tucson, Az, Christopher Drawbaugh and his wife Mary of Tucson, Az, Brenda Rogers of Orange, California and Jason Botens of SanClemente,California, Brad Kardux of Wycombe, Pa, Mark Kardux of Fontana,Ca, Julie Fuhrmeister and her husband Andrew of Coralville, Ia, Alana Radzom and her husband Scott of Andover, Mn, Kevin Brown and his wife Shelley of Blue Springs, Mo, Holly Brown of Brooklyn Park, Mn, Theresa Suzanne Meier and her husband Roy of Cincinnati, Oh, Laura Wehmeyer and her husband Jeff of Muscatine, and Wendy Brunk and her husband Jason of Cambridge, Ia; Fourteen Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary Drawbaugh; his first wife Annabel Drawbaugh in 1962; two brothers Paul Drawbaugh and Richard Drawbaugh and one sister Bonnie Tutt.
