Obituary of Lance Williams

Lance W. Williams, 62, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Visitation for Lance will be held on Friday, December 2, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Lance�s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the Williams family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral & Cremation Services is caring for Lance�s family and his service. Lance Wayne Williams was born September 14, 1943 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Arthur Sr. and Jeanette Heuer Williams. He graduated from Muscatine High School in 1962. Lance married Laura Roudybush and later divorced. Lance was employed by Heinz as a forklift driver. In his younger years he enjoyed playing softball, bowling, hunting, fishing and golfing. Later in life he enjoyed watching high school sports, especially wrestling. He also enjoyed visiting with people by having coffee at Hy-Vee in the morning and in the evening at Country Kitchen. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Lance will be deeply missed by his son, Shane Williams and his wife Katie, of Muscatine; one daughter, Natalie Williams of Davenport; three grandchildren, Mishell Ohren of Davenport, Grace Williams and Jake Williams both of Muscatine; one brother, Arthur Williams Jr. and his wife, Donna of Muscatine, and one sister, Janice Martin of Bakersfield, California He was preceded in death by his parents.
