Obituary of Mary Yencsik

Mary C. Yencsik, 86, of Muscatine, died Monday, December 5, 2005, at the Lutheran Homes. There will be no visitation or funeral services and interment will be at a later date at the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be directed to the Arthritis Foundation in Mary�s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the Yencsik family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Mary�s family and her service. Mary Cecelia Glentzer was born February 7, 1919 in Ottumwa, Iowa the daughter of James Joseph and Fanny Ellen (Feehan) Glentzer. On April 25, 1946 Mary was united in marriage to George Yencsik in Ottumwa, Iowa. Mary worked at Ballban in Indiana making ponchos for the military and in Ottumwa she worked at the hospital as an aide. She enjoyed watching soap operas, the Chicago Cubs but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Mary will be deeply missed by her two sons, Frederick L. Yencsik of Muscatine and Thomas D. Yencsik and his wife, Nancy, of Hampton, Illinois; two daughters, Verna Ann Roth of Lake Forest, Illinois and Theresa Helen Schultz of Waukegan, Illinois; five grandchildren, Jessica, Ben, Steven, Amanda and Douglas; three brothers, James Glentzer and his wife, Wanda, of Pleasantville, Iowa, John Glentzer of Florida and Gene Glentzer of Florida; two sisters, Kathryn Riggs of South Bend, Indiana and Helen Musselman of Tuscan, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George in August 2001; three brothers, Raymond, Leo and Francis; and one sister, Mable.
