Obituary of Pearle Huff

Pearle Huff, age 101, of Lone Tree, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Monticello. Funeral services for Pearle will be held on Friday, December 16, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. Rev. Jason Pittman will officiate the services. Visitation for Pearle will be held on Thursday, December 15th from 4:30-7:00 P.M. at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the United Presbyterian Church. Pearle Baker Huff was born May 19, 1904 in Lone Tree, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Carrie (Hushkins) Baker. On July 21, 1921 she was united in marriage to Roy C. Huff in Lone Tree. Pearle was a homemaker and a member of the United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed taking care of other people who needed looking after. Pearle will be deeply missed by her son, Charles Wilbur Huff of Lone Tree; 2 grandsons, Charles Wilbur Huff, Jr. and his friend, Jill Welter of Lone Tree and Jeffrey Alan Huff and his wife Diana of Riverside; her brother, Robert Baker and his wife, Burdene of Lone Tree; and nephew, Ralph Baker also of Lone Tree. Pearle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy C. Huff in 1965; and 3 brothers, Richard, Wesley and Orville.
