Obituary of Roberta J. McCormick

Roberta J. (Robin) McCormick, 59, of Muscatine, died Saturday, February 4, 2006, at her home in Muscatine. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Rev. Bill Young will officiate. Following the services a time of food and fellowship will be held in the Community Room at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will be in Buffalo Prairie Cemetery in Illinois. Visitation for Robin will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Roberta Garrison was born on January 9, 1947 in Muscatine, Iowa the daughter of Leo F. and Ellen E (Moore) Garrison Sr. On February 19, 1983 Robin was united in marriage to John M. McCormick in Muscatine. Robin was of the protestant faith. She loved attending flea markets and established The Round Up flea market on Highway 61 in Letts, Iowa. She was most recently employed at Tyson Foods and in her earlier years she owned and operated the Airliner Diner on Grandview Avenue, Muscatine. Robin will be deeply missed by her husband, John M. McCormick of Muscatine; two sons, Roger G. Foster of Oakville, and Daniel J. Foster of Muscatine; three daughters, Tammy Jo Robinson of Kansas, Jody E. Wright and husband Brian of Kansas, and Renee J. Joanou and husband Scott of Phoenix, Arizona; one step-son, Timothy M. McCormick and wife Evelyn of Muscatine; two step-daughters, Kindra L. Hill and husband Dennis of Muscatine, and Mitzi Leimkuehler and husband Glen of Kansas; four brothers, William Phillips and wife Nancy of West Liberty, Richard Garrison and wife Karen of Wilton, Leo Garrison Jr. and wife Barbara of Crystal Lake, Iowa, and Jewel Anthony Garrison and wife Mary of Wapello; five sisters, Juanita West of Muscatine, Rosita Bergen of Denmark, Iowa, JoAnn Luttrull and husband Charlie of Letts, Leola Garner of Columbus Junction, and Charlene Cozad and husband James, Jr. of Muscatine; and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary McGourty and Jacquline Brown; and one brother, Frank Garrison.
