To Vicki's family and f or all of those who loved her.
Vicki, as you know was an extraordinary person. Sometimes I think she was put on earth to help us all with our faith in Jesus. I will always remember her for her special outlook on life, ergo, "Another day, Another blessing"! What a beautiful reminder to us all to remember to give thanks for all God has given us. And although she didn't receive a cure for her cancer, she gave us hope that cancer will one day be eradicated.
I will always remember Vicki, especially for her giving me hope.
May God bless her family for all that she endured,
Joe Beckey

My condolences go out to the family. As a school bus driver in the Muscatine School District for 30 years I was able to interact with Vickie and drove the cheer leaders to many events. What a lovely person Vickie was. So glad I got to know her as she truly was an inspiration to all.
God Bless the family.

Vicki was a wonderful, giving person. I worked with Vicki on the Miss Muscatine Pageant board (back in the days) and had kept in touch with her for many years. I was saddened to hear of her passing but wanted the family to know that her love of her family was number one for her. I always enjoyed getting the Christmas card/picture to see how very blessed she was. My thoughts and prayers to you all. God Bless.

We are so sad to hear of Vicki's passing. She was such a great lady we had the privilege of knowing while our daughter was one of her cheerleaders. She was a wonderful positive role model for all the girls. She loved each one and they loved and respected her right back. We'll always remember her as being so in love with life. She teaches all of us to value the gift of each day and to never give up on the journey.

Vickie will be missed so much. I know that her family ( grandchildren) and close friends are what kept Vickie going thru this struggle. Anyone can give up. It's the easiest thing in the world to do.But Vickie held it together when most people would give up. I know she had more bad days than anyone could imagine and did fall apart behind closed doors. That's true strength , that was Vickie. I will miss her laugh and all her crazy stories most of all her friendship. She touched so many lives with her zest for life. Prayers and peace to her loved ones and family. Love and miss you Vickie ! Crissi

I am so sorry to hear of Vickie's passing. I know she faught a courageous battle the past few years. I first met her when I was in 5th grade, she was in 4th. We had a lot of fun times together at St Mary's and then Hayes. Steve was a classmate of mine also. I can't believe she is gone. Heaven received an Angel that we all will miss until we meet again. RIP Vickie, your pain is gone and I know you will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing you. My deepest sympathy goes out to your family.

Bob and I want to express our sympathy to the entire family. We met Vickie and Steve when the guys worked together. Then I got to see her whenever I came home for Miss Muscatine activities. We reconnected again on Facebook and followed this awful journey she traveled. We know how deeply loved she was and, having recently lost a grandchild,
know the pain you are experiencing right now. She was a blessing to many, many people and her fight inspired us all.

As I continue to mourn the loss of such a wonderful woman and dear friend… I find solace in knowing how much she was loved by so many others… Countless others.
Miss Vickie was truly one of a kind. For more than 30 years I have counted her among my dearest friends. She filled the room with love and laughter… Everywhere she went she left an impression.
I know heaven is a much better place since she entered the pearly gates… And we, her friends and family, are much better human beings having known her.
As you rest in peace… I'm sure your spirit is dancing and laughing in heaven!

My condolences are with you, Tom and to your entire family. I could tell that she loved you so much. She especially loved telling us about her grandchildren. I heard so many fun stories from her about all of you. I feel like I know you. You were so blessed to have her as your Mom/wife/grandmother.
I met Vickie when I took my father to Mexico for his cancer treatment last April. He had pancreatic cancer, too, and I believe he had a special bond with Vickie and Tom because of that. She and Tom took Dad out for a "forbidden" KFC run to try to get some food in him the week that I could not be there. I asked them to keep an eye out for him and he could not have been in better hands. In just those few short weeks that we were there, Vickie became a very special friend to me and my Dad. My heart breaks for you, but I take comfort in knowing that she and Dad are now in heaven and probably sneaking out to the KFC and having a large time while they wait for us to meet them there.
I am praying for God's peace and comfort for you and your family as you grieve the loss of this very special woman.
