Obituary of Vickie Webber Anderson
Vickie Webber Anderson, 67, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at her home. A Celebration of Life for Vickie will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Calvary Church. Cremation rites have been facilitated by FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center. Visitation for Vickie will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Life. A memorial fund has been established for Pancretic Cancer Research through The University of Iowa in Vickie’s name. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services are caring for the arrangements and Vickie’s family. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.
Vickie Lewig was born on May 25, 1949 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Charlene (Schumacher) Lewig. Vickie was a 1967 graduate of Hayes Catholic High School and went on to attend the University of Northern Iowa. On June 7, 1969, Vickie was united in marriage to Stephen Webber in Muscatine. Steve preceded Vickie in death on August 31, 1996. Vickie later married Tom Anderson on May 19, 2000 at Calvary Church in Muscatine. Vickie worked as a para educator for the Muscatine Community School District retiring after 35 years. While there, Vickie also served as a cheerleading coach and sold ads for the district. In her spare time, she also sold jewelry and ran a furniture painting business out of her home. Vickie also served as a chaperone for Miss Iowa. She loved Christmas, decorating and shopping, traveling to Colorado and spending time at Cascade Cottages, and more than anything her greatest love was her grandchildren.
Vickie will be deeply missed by her husband, Tom of Muscatine; daughter, Beth (Michael) Thomas of Muscatine; son, Wesley (Amy) Webber of Muscatine; step-children, Jenny (Kory) Fiers of Orion, Corey (Bob) Lambert of Moline and Nathan (Anjelica) Anderson of Pleasant Valley, Iowa; parents, Robert and Charlene Lewig of Muscatine; sister, Dana Lewis (Jim) Bartlett of Muscatine; 15 grandchildren, Jordan Thomas, Cameron Miller, Macey Webber, Grant Thomas, Chloe Snyder, Sophia Thomas, Riley Webber, Addison Lambert, Gage Anderson, Kiara Anderson, Bodie Lambert, Violet Fiers, Elliot Fiers, Genessa Anderson and Chase Anderson; nephews, Andy Lewis and Doug Lewis and great niece, Jade Lewis.
Vickie was preceded in death by her first husband; maternal and paternal grandparents; and aunt, Geraldine Wagler.
