Esther was a very special lady. We miss her.
My parents, Milton and Helen McFadden, were very close friends of Esther's parents. We lived across Sampson St from each other. Esther and I were good friends. Think it was in 1996 that Esther and I visited the old neighborhood. Then we went to Ina Maes for tenderloin sandwiches and a beer with Grandpa Bud and Darrel.
Our condolences to the family.

We were so sorry to hear of Esther's passing. I always teased her about making her brownies for me. We were classmates and had so much fun together in later years. Mutt and Jeff that was us. Again our deepest sympathy to the entire family.

It is with deepest regrets that we received the announcement of Esther's passing. Esther was a lifelong friend of Kay's. They were schoolmates from grade school through high school and shared many fond memories of those wonderful years. It is hard to believe that what started out in the 1940's has come to an end. Esther will long be remembered as being one of the warmest and friendliest of all classmates. She will be missed by many of her friends. May she join her husband and the two forever rest in peace.

To the Lyons family,
We could not believe what we were reading when we were sent Esther's obituary. What a shock. Our hearts hurt beyond what we can even explain Esther and Darrell were instrumental in us meeting each other all those 65+ years ago---on a 'kinda' blind date.
Esther and I shared a locker for 3 of our 4 years at MHS. We knew each others every move those 3 years. What fun we had and what support we were for each other. It is ironic that we didn't have any classes together the entire time at MHS. But we did in Jr.High. She was such a confident young lady.
Please know just how much we cared about Esther.
I had not heard from her in quite awhile and she had not been responding to my email. I was wondering why and I had planned to call her this week end or next week.
We were not aware that she had gone to Luthern Llving. I so wish I had known.
We pray that God will hold you close and may your memories be comforting and may your faith bring you peace in knowing that one day you will all be together again..
Our love and sympathy,
`Kathy and Ron Marshall

I am so sorry to hear of Esther's demise and remember her so fondly from high school. She was a lot of fun and liked by everyone.
It's hard to forget someone;
Who gave you so much to remember.
