Obituary of Mary LaRue

Mary Magdelene LaRue, 76, of Muscatine passed away on Friday, September 21, 2018, at Premier Estates of Muscatine.  Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center.    Online condolences may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Mary Magdelene Smith was born on February 26, 1942, in Metropolis, Illinois, the daughter of Casper and Marie Smith.  On September 12, 1960 Mary was united in marriage to Charles “Sam” LaRue in Muscatine.  Mary had cleaned homes and enjoyed going to the casino and playing BINGO.  Her greatest love was the time she spent with her family. 

Mary will be missed by her children, Charles Wayne LaRue of Muscatine, Jane LaRue of Wisconsin and Melissa LaRue of Muscatine; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Marie LaRue of Muscatine, Jean Lett of Wilton and Roberta Toyne of Muscatine and one sister-in-law, Sandra Stalkfleet of Muscatine. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles “Sam” Louis LaRue, Jr.; daughter, Jody LaRue and granddaughter, Kayla.
