Just want Judi's family to know that as one of her former classmates, I feel so very badly to hear about her passing away. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. The last time I saw Judi, Lorna Pike Krueger, Judi and I sat on the curb on Main St. in Lone Tree after Lone Tree Days, about 15 years ago. We had such a great visit. I'm sorry that I never had the chance to see her again. Sandi (Schmitt) Hyett - One of the Nichols bunch.

I can't remember Judi NOT having a smile on her face! She lived each day fully and loved being with people. I worked with Judi through medical education and it was apparent that the work she did for education was not because she had to, but because she believed in giving students a great opportunity to learn. I often saw her in our building walking over her lunch break. I will miss her happy smile.

I worked with Judi through the first year medical student curriculum at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She helped us set up physical examination skills in the department of Ophthalmology for our students. Although I didn't work with her a lot, when I did work with her I found her to be full of energy and she always had a smile. Her enthusiasm for the students was infectious. I also remember visiting her office once to pick up some papers and saw all of the pictures of her family on her desk. It was obvious to me how much her family meant to her. She will definitely be missed!

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I shared an office with Judi for many years in the "Old Eye Clinic" in General Hospital and continued to enjoy her as a co-worker in the eye department, even though our office spaces were on opposite sides of the department more recently. She was a fantastic person who really knew how to enjoy life. Her zest for life is one we should all follow. She leaves a very empty place in all of our hearts. Keep the wonderful memories alive to help you heal during this very sad time.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I was fortunate to work with Judi in the Eye Clinic from 1993 to 1999 and always enjoyed her free spirit and outgoing attitude.

I'm so very sorry to hear of your loss. I used to sit across the wall from Judi when I worked in the eye clinic and close to her at Iowa Football games. I will always remember her zest for life and her devotion and love of her family.
