Obituary of Gary Allen Dusenberry

Gary Allen Dusenberry, 40, of Muscatine, died Monday, September 12, 2005, at Unity Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 15, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Pastor Sharon Phillips of The Jesus Mission Church will officiate. Casketbearers will be Dave Logel, Darren Sloan, Jeff Peterson, Joe Peterson, Larry Koehler and Ron Dusenberry. Honorary Casketbearers will be John Bails, Cody Dusenberry, Christopher Plowman, Alex Holiday, Mike Dusenberry, Jay Wagner and Scott Wagner. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the American Legion. Visitation for Gary will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Gary�s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the Dusenberry family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. The Geo. M. Gary Dusenberry was born on July 19, 1965 in Muscatine, Iowa the son of Barbara Othmer Cooper and Glenn Richard Dusenberry. Gary was employed at All-Steel in Muscatine. He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially the Cardinals, the Rams and the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed Fantasy Football, grilling out, and spending time with his daughters, Hannah and Emily. Gary will be deeply missed by his fianc�, Melissa Paetz of Muscatine; his parents, Floyd and Barbara Cooper of Stonghurst, Illinois and Glenn and Vicki Dusenberry of Moscow; two daughters, Hannah and Emily Wagner; two grandmothers, Alberta Dusenberry and Sara Phillips; three brothers, Dean Dusenberry and his wife, Michele of Muscatine, Steve Dusenberry and his wife, Terrie of Muscatine, and Glenn Dusenberry Jr. of Wilton; four sisters, Paula Hoekstra and her husband, Chris of Wilton, Melissa Dusenberry of Denver, Colorado, Carla Dusenberry of Wilton and Laresa Petersen of Muscatine; and many aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wes and Ruby Othmer; his grandfathers, Raymond F. Dusenberry and Ronald Phillips and his uncles.
