Obituary of Robert L. Libenguth

Robert L. Libenguth, 74, of Wellman, formerly of Riverside, died Sunday, October 16, 2005 at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City following an extended illness. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the St. Mary�s Catholic Church in Riverside. Rev. Rich Adam will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the St. Mary�s Catholic Church Parish Center. Visitation for Robert will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 from 4:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside with a 7:00 P.M. Rosary. Robert Francis Libenguth was born on May 15, 1931, in Riverside, Iowa the son of Frank H. and Clara M. (Kucera) Libenguth. Robert was a 1949 graduate of St. Mary�s High School in Riverside. He was a parts manager for I.H. Implement and then for Joe Pailliotet Implement. Robert was a member of the St. Mary�s Catholic Church. When Robert was younger, he coached many sports for children and bowled. Robert enjoyed woodworking, especially following his retirement. He made a complete farm set, which included seven buildings, complete with fencing and animals, to be raffled at the St. Mary�s Catholic Church Labor Day Festival every year. Robert is survived by his sister, Lorraine A. Lintz and her husband, Mark of Davenport and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Arthur and Louis.
